“My Best Self”
Workshop Facilitator Preparation
Our My Best Self curriculum is made up of 3 workshops. Workshop I is usually offereed in 8th grade, Workshop II in 10th grade, and Worksop III in 12th grade. Each of these workshops is broken up into four hourlong sessions, ideally hosted one week apart.
Workshop facilitators MUST prepare before hosting sessions. The topics covered are important and at times delicate, and we have repeatedly seen that facilitator readiness directly impacts outcome success.
We provide facilitators with online video courses that walk through each session in detail. Links to each course are below.
You can download classroom materials including the slides and facilitator notes. We recommend that you print the slides with notes to refer to as needed during your sessions.
You can also download a PDF copy of the student journal. You’ll not need this on the day, students will each be given a beautiful, printed journal to use during the sessions, but the PDF copy will help you prep.
