1: Does the “My Best Self” Project treat eating disorders?
Atzmi is not a treatment program, but an educational program dedicated to prevention and the development of emotional skills and tools.
2: Can the school implement one or two parts of the program, instead of all 3 parts?
Yes, you can choose not to do all 3 parts of the program. For optimal outcomes and success, however, it is recommended that all 3 prongs be implemented.
3: Is there a cost for the program?
There is no charge for the curriculum or for Dr. Forta to speak to the parents and teachers. However, the school will need to purchase journals for the student workshops, the cost of which $10 per student as well as for travel expenses for Dr. Forta, if she is speaking in person.
4: When booking Dr. Forta for in-person seminars, can my school join up with other local schools to help defray the costs of travel?
Absolutely!
5: Does the school need to hire a facilitator?
No. Ideally, the facilitator should be someone who is “in-house”.
6: How long does the student program take?
If your class periods are one hour, then 4 sessions.
If your class periods are 45 minutes, then 5-6 sessions will be needed.
7: Is there training provided for the facilitator?
Yes. Online training is provided.
8: How do I order the journals?

9: Are the student surveys a required part of the program?
Yes.
10: Is Dr. Forta available for questions and consultations while running the program?
Yes.
11: Can I get letters of recommendations from schools that have done the Atzmi program?

13: How do I get PowerPoint slides that are not watermarked?
Once you’ve completed training and have a 15 minute meet with Dr. Forta, you will be given access to those slides.
